The Middle Matters Recognition Award - The purpose of this award
is to identify and recognize exemplary middle level programs and curricula
that are consistent with VAMLE's mission.
VAMLE/NELMS Scholar Leader Banquet - June 4, 2008 at Plumley
Auditorium, Norwich University. This program is intended to give public
recognition to two students from each middle level school in your state who have distinguished themselves in terms of outstanding scholarship and leadership. The selection of these two students, who are being recognized as representatives of all young adolescents who might qualify, will be the responsibility of each school, in accordance with the Selection Criteria which will accompanying an announcement sent to schools in the spring.
 
 

NELMS Spotlight Schools - The purpose of the Spotlight School Award is to recognize schools that have a record of powerful learning for young adolescents and consistently observe middle level best practices. A NELMS Spotlight School is recognized for developing strong effective programs that reflect concepts contained in Turning Points 2000 and This We Believe.
